What a crazy few days it’s been! Only a couple of months ago, Chris McMurray asked the Auckland Mini Car Club if anyone was interested in being his navigator. Wow, so great that Team Motive managed to put this together. I’m only a small cog in this big inclusive ability race car machine, and it’s awesome! So great to be on Pukekohe track and racing this car against so many other vehicles, at the last B&H500, ever! Team Motive set up a 3 team

So driving (technically racing) around the same track I know, Hampton Downs was great in a MX5 aka ZoomZoom. ZoomZoom is a Team Motive vehicle, a wonderful group of people who built this machine. This small collective of people ties disability together for a unique experience. There’s a few of us that started a project

So, first time on the track (sort of) racing Lucy! What a rush! Well, actually, it’s called Classic Time Trial, so more like racing against myself and a consistent time, and other people just happen to be on the track at the same time. Its great being on a track,even if I was the slowest

So after much encouragement (very little actually) and study, I have passed my exam and been sent my race license!! Yay. This means I know what to do when racing and have enough sense to know how to conduct myself in the vehicle, around the pits, and on the track. It’s a lot to take
