RYPEN – Rotary group

RYPEN is a camp set up by Rotarians (run by different groups, this time it was St Johns) that help encourage and enrich the lives of future leaders. Each teen has been put forward, applied on behalf, and selected to come along.

Wow, what a group! 69 students from 28 different high schools and 7 different countries.

I really enjoyed meeting and speaking to the group, they listened and responded well. What impressed me was some of the thoughtful questions they asked. A few individuals really stood out, asked what they felt was on top for them, and even a select few came up to me afterwards.

Happy, honoured and encouraged by their youthful, playful attitudes. Future leaders in the making. The ks for having me Hilary.

Qantas – Jetconnect intake #65

So this was Qantas first ever group of referrals. This one intake was dedicated to referrals from previous intakes and current staff.

Each of these individuals had something to prove, not just to Jetconnect, but to each other and to the person who vouched for them.

A great group and they gelled like a good team should. They should be so proud of their friends and the team leader/trainers Andrew an Lani.

Round the Bays – 2018

Crazy Round the Bays again, this time as a Squirrel 🙂 Strange as it may seem, but it was really hot, well a lot hotter than I anticipated.

Great fun and the kids on the course (& some adults) waved and laughed at the suit, I can’t imagine why…

First squirrel across the finish line. First race wheelchair across the finish line. First crazy guy across the finish line. Ha ha. My favourite part of this suit was the tail, it was massive.
