Without sounding to pretentious, it’s all about me! What a great opportunity for me, and for other wheelchair users (or anyone that needs catheter products), to see someone who uses these products. I was happy and privileged to help promote these catheters, as I personally use them, and find them great. I’m lucky enough to
So good to see that some companies really care about their customers, so they up-skill their staff to support their customers. I was invited to show AIA staff my vehicle and talk with them a little about my disability as what it means. I also managed to share with them a bit about my life
A beautiful small group this time, not that low numbers stopped this intake from being just as loveable. Graham the Qantas trainer did a fantastic job of keeping the students (and us) on our toes. Each time I get asked intense questions, I get reminded that we are all different, and we all think differently.
Thank you for having us Lani, after a wonderful welcome and meeting up with another trainer/friend Jo, we started and talking with the team. The team were really engaged and had a genuine interest in what we were presenting to them. Sandra and myself take pride in our presentations and it’s always a pleasure to
Sick of the “relentless onslaught” of people abusing mobility parks, I’m taking this fight to the Human Rights Commission.
A big thank you to the training staff at Jet Connect as they set us up for a wonderful day with high expectations. Sandra and I have never been let down. Your training is at expert level and selection of intake is at a very high standard. Again we were met with a wonderful smiling
Jet Connect crew #66 in their new building. Another group of crew members being trained to be great cabin crew for Qantas. After speaking to them about my life, then we give information regarding other disabilities. That way not only do the new staff have a better understanding of disability, but they also have a
So this was Qantas first ever group of referrals. This one intake was dedicated to referrals from previous intakes and current staff. Each of these individuals had something to prove, not just to Jetconnect, but to each other and to the person who vouched for them. A great group and they gelled like a good
Well, I’m sure you can tell from the attached photo, that this was a fun group. They also asked great questions and displayed great insight into each of their own groups knowledge. Thanks to Qantas for having us and, as always, it’s been a pleasure and with better understanding of another needs, we all win
The work that all the staff of the Auckland Spinal Unit (Parafed, nurses, physio’s and the TASC office themselves) do an amazing job supporting this people through a very challenging time. Sharing my journey with this group, in this environment is hard, it always is. Going back to where I learned some tough truths about myself
