Wow, they wrote an article on me and paid me! This is the 8th article on me and my endeavours over the years. Always fills me with a warmth thats hard to explain. The first thing I wanted to do, each time this happens, is send a copy to my mum. Both my mother and
A big thank you goes out to Qantas for having a commitment to service and pride in it’s training for having me in to assist the learning of their new intake cabin crew. We shared some laughs as we go through the basics of what someone with specific needs requires. Strangely enough, it’s just the
Well, this was another eye opener. What a big experience meeting the PM Mr John Key again, this time at Rex R&D office in Albany, Auckland. He honestly looked shattered, like he’d had a really hard day & it was only 1230pm! Yet, even saying that, this committed official went on to smile with everyone and
Due to changes in house at Air NZ, the company has decided not to continue with the Aviation Institute. So it with sadness and regret that this is the last time I will post anything about the Aviation Institute, unless policy changes mean they reopen. It was so great to see so many of the
After changing my costume choice several times, I finally settled on a panda for this years Round the Bays (Auckland). Turns out, that was by far the best choice! Children and adults alike enjoyed running with, calling out, and taking photos with the wheelie cool panda. Again I mangled the 16.8km (8.4km race, but I
What a beautiful day, amazing couple and perfect setting at French Bay, Auckland. The couple had some incredible people supporting them on this day, so just a testament as to their character really. So awesome how their friends arrived early to prepare the area for the wedding ceremony and the guests. It couldn’t have ben
So, I have been to many, many previews before but this was epic!! Not only did a few friends and myself get treated to horderves, drinks and snacks prior to the Extreme Screen screening at Hoyts Sylvia Park, but the atmosphere was decidedly electric! After being seated and getting a goodie bag with limited edition drinks,
Once again we had the privilege to present to the Qantas new intakes of group #58. It’s always a pleasure and this time was no exception. A lovely team that worked and played together. They also managed to share a few stories of their own and we laughed while learning. The best way to learn.
I am still in a position where I am able to support other groups with my knowledge to inspire and capture the interest of new cabin crew. I feel uniquely privileged to be accomplished in this field to support their learning. The new trainer Jo was great, giving us free range to interact and encourage
So again, I supported the Auckland Christmas Santa Parade by being the seated version of Michael Jackson (from Thriller). On the Monster Mash float, the “Thriller” track is pelleted out a few dozen times over the course of the streets. The crowd loves it and the kids dancing around and on the float are amazing.
