Achilles Awards night – Wellington Sat 15th Feb

It was an incredible honour to be invited to the awards night, and even more humbling was being asked to speak to the Achilles Chapters.

It’s so much harder speaking to a large group of disabled people, because all my normal jokes and amazing activities is pretty normal! Just kidding. All the people I spoke with, or heard receiving awards, well above the norm. It’s no wonder they won awards!

These are a great bunch of people, even laughing at my bad humor and terrible jokes. They really know how to make people feel welcome and how to encourage those around them. I’m glad to be making my way onto the board… If I can..
