Another wonderful camp program run by the Discovery for Teens group of awesome people. Thanks to them, this looked to be another successful program. As an elder, I had the privilege of speaking to a select small group and helping with the future of our society. It’s a real privilege and an honour to be
I am very thankful to have been invited along to present to several Challenge Camps over the last few years, and this year I was invited to speak with Rotary group called RYPEN. Honestly, check out what Rotary do for our communities and how they work behind the scenes to impact our future, totally inspiring.
Once again this OHS annual event allows me to indulge my charity side and give a little back. For many years I had several charities I gave to each year, only receiving a letter or email thanking me. Now I have the privileged to meet each student recipient, each year. Then I get to meet
Wonderful to meet with a bunch of youths that are support day a group of other teens from different areas around the world, coming together at Challenge Camp at Muriwai beach. Some of the youth from Rotary Youth Leadership Program come back to help Rotary by providing an environment that will physically, intellectually and emotionally challenge these young people. Any group
Several years since I broke my collarbone and the Fired Up Events still allow me back! Ha ha. Great day, yes I look cold, because it was. These guys and gals race up 52floors for LBC charity and people some of them know that have been effected by these diseases. People all over NZ are
Wow, what an event! This Tough Mudder thing is out of the park! It’s just massive and everything is so much bigger, better and harder than anything I’ve seen before. So I’ve run a few ultra marathons in my time, but this was epic running through rivers, barbed wire, electric fences, over walls… I mean,
I was given the opportunity to get up at 5am and go support this wonderful group of hard working New Zealanders. These 940 awesome individuals come together as a collective and raised over $1.2mil this year. That’s a huge achievement that all profits go directly to LBC every year. FireUp events run a smooth ship
I’ve been involved with the TASC organisation for a number of years as I believe in the work they do and how they support others. The “Back on Track” program looks at sharing the stories and experiences of other individuals that have been through the spinal unit and can help those still going through struggles,
So this was the first time I’ve helped with Stadium Stomp, yet long side Fired Up Events and Mike King, this is just as wonderful. Easy to look at the event and see how stream line and easy run it was, that’s without seeing everything that goes on behind the scenes. This was over 5,000
So Splore music festival was an incredible event. I’ve only ever been to one event similar and that was The Big Chill in the UK a few years ago. I was supporting the team with parking and organising venue goers and others with where to park, and driving around the event. There was literally thousands
