10km Running Event -Rotorua Running Festival

Running Events have again put on a great event, this time, in Rotorua.

A little 10km always brings out the smiles, even had a few people want photos next to me at the start line!! Can’t understand why…

I stayed at the Rotorua Ibis right next to the start of the wonderful course, and wonderfully organised event. The day was incredible and the sun shone while the last people came in from the half marathon walk, and the MC handed out trophies and spot prizes.

ANZSCoS (Australia and New Zealand Spinal Concerns) with REX BIONICS

Thanks to Rex Bionics for inviting me to be there ambassador.

The ANZSCoS was an incredible event, with so many key note speakers from New Zealand and Australia.

At the Rex Bionics stand we had many visitors from all over, doctors, hospital mangers, spinal staff, physiotherapists, OT’s, researchers, and again I was able to wiggle and waggle my stuff to show the amazement that is Rex.

OHS annual senior awards

Onehunga High School senior awards were again a fantastic event. I thoroughly enjoyed by day there and, as last year, was humbled by the calibre of the students.

The OHS students pride themselves with Loyalty and Courage, this was very evident in the awards they received.

I remember my past time at this school and it encourages me to strive for more than I believe possible. I feel proud to be part of this alumni and to sing praises of OHS as I continue my travels and adventures.

Auckland Zombie Walk 2014

Sometimes people ask me to participate in bizarre and strange activities. This was no exception and the wonderful people involved made it a fantastic event, along with proceeds going to a worthy charity TASC. Next year we hope to make it even more successful with even more funds going to a worthy cause.

Honestly this was a huge success and everyone had a great time being part of the Zombie apocalypse on Auckland’s Queen Street.
